Where it all started
They were strangers thrown together in a training group at Kirstenbosch. Neither of them planned it. The gardens did the rest.

The date that felt like an interview
When Katlego mentioned craving pizza to Blessings' roommate, Blessings took his shot. What followed was one of those rare first dates where nobody played it safe. They talked about real things: philosophy, ambition, life. She decided he was good on paper. He was already gone.

11 June · Hermanus, Western Cape
The day it became official
A few dates and a few months later, somewhere along the Hermanus coastline, they stopped pretending it was casual. It was 11 June 2021 and it was official.
2023
Stadtpark, Vienna
He asked. She said yes.
A conference took them to Vienna. Blessings had other plans. In the Stadtpark, beneath the golden glow of the Johann Strauss statue, he got down on one knee. She said yes without hesitation.

Joined by tradition
Lobola was paid and promises were made the proper way. Surrounded by family, rooted in culture. On the 22nd of February 2025, they were husband and wife in every way that mattered.

Plantation Bay, Philippines
Now for the party
Six years after Kirstenbosch, they're bringing everyone they love to a resort on a Philippine island to do it all over again. We wil celebrate it extravagantly and joyfully, with the people who were there for all of it.
